Using Safari to listen to videos in the background required you to turn the website to Desktop mode (which makes the content smaller and harder to see), then you turn off the screen while watching a video, you have to turn on it again to click the play button in the lock screen to play the audio of this video under background. Meanwhile, the app Pure Tuber on iOS doesn’t support logging in, and therefore you cannot view your watching history. The Android’s Youtube Vanced allows me to log in with my Google account so that I can quickly watch my favorite kinds of YouTube content. In Android, I just click the Youtube Vanced icon on the home screen, play a video, turn off the screen, and I am still able to listen to the audio of this video in the background.
